![]() ![]() As other users have mentioned ACRE2 is currently in development but the released versions are considered stable. This obviously has consequences in form of user friendliness but it is definitely not impossible to learn. The ACRE PRC-148 is modeled as close to reality as you can possibly get. It's a decision that is down to what you want to go for, as both will work and provide a Radio environment but obviously how they do that differs greatly.ĪCRE provides the best radio simulation. But I feel it's not giving either development team their due credited when the two are compared, when they're aiming to do two different things. ![]() I can go on but I don't want to waste words and make it seem I'm vouching for either here. Which means it's easier for them to implement new Radio's to help create diversity, alongside features that provide their version of immersion. It is also much easier to mod for as it is much simpler behind the scenes, and uses a different method of terrain and range simulation. ![]() TFAR is a simpler addon designed to give a similar but more user friendly experience. Which cater to people interested in getting their hands on Radio's that come as close as within reason of the real thing (Antenna simulation is a good example of this, though it isn't really a feature that is appreciated outside of the intended audience.) ACRE2 and TFAR are aimed at two different audiences, if you ever manage to speak to either Nou or Jaynus you'd understand how much they value realistic simulation of real Radio sets. ![]()
